Kenneth Macdonald

Kenneth Macdonald

Kenneth (1916-1994) was a son of Murdo Macdonald and Mary Ann Maclean from 10 Breaclete. Kenneth served in the Royal Naval Reserve from 29th December 1934 onwards and throughout the Second World War. On 3rd January 1945, as a Leading Seaman, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. After the war he served with the Edinburgh police and in 1948 he married Chrissie Macleod from Leverburgh.

Kenneth retired in 1971 at the rank of Sergeant. He then joined HM Customs and Excise and served in Evanton. On retirement Kenneth and Chrissie moved to Galashiels and finally to Prestonpans.
