John Macleod (1835-1867) was a son of John Macleod and Catherine Macdonald, 4 Old Orinsay.
Orinsay was cleared in 1843 and the family were removed to 48 Leurbost.
In Lochs, in 1865, he married Isabella Macritchie, 21 Gravir. John and Isabella settled at 21 Gravir and they had a daughter, Christy. After John's death she was known as Johanna.
John died aged 32.
His sister Margaret married Isabella's brother John.
