John Macdonald from Bosta, was married to Christina Macarthur of Bosta. The couple had two sons, Donald and Murdo, who went to live at 1 and 2 Enaclete respectively and a son Malcolm, who according to the 1851 Bosta Census, was sent from Bosta to Shawbost.
