28080: John Macleod
John (1889-1915) was a son of Donald Macleod and Isabella Macdonald, 2 Enaclete and later 1 Enaclete. He was a tailor in Glasgow.
Later John became a sergeant in the Cameron Highlanders and was killed on the first day of the Battle of Loos, France, 25 September 1915, aged 25 years. His body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
