Anne Maclean (1802-1837) was a daughter of Kenneth Maclean and Gormelia Macdonald, 14 Calbost
In Lochs, in 1833, she married John Macleod, 8 Calbost. Anne gave birth to her first child Kenneth in the open at "Clach Mor a' Ghobha" just above the Calbost pebble beach where the Calbost boats are drawn up on the beach. She was making her was home from the beach, probably having just landed there from a boat trip. Anne died at that time probably due to her traumatic experience in child birth without any medical assistance. The child, Kenneth survived.
