Kenneth Macleod (1891-1918) son of Malcolm Macleod and Mary Morrison, 29 Laxay emigrated to the USA along with Torquil Macleod, 16a Laxay and Kenneth Maciver, 9a Laxay aboard the ss "Caledonia" from Glasgow to New York on 18-27 May 1912. Kenneth lived with a friend, Malcolm Macleod, 12 Barkely Street, Boston, Mass before moving to Canada. He served with the Canadians (Cameron Highlander contingent) during the First World War. He married Dolina Macmillan, 3 Gravir in Stornoway but returned to Canada, where he died aged 27 years.
