29254: Walter Beattie
Walter Beattie (born 1813) was a son of Charles Beattie and Elizabeth Lawson, Langholm, Dumfriesshire.
He married Agnes Hunter from Kirkmichael and they lived at Shepherd’s House, Eishken. Walter and Agnes had six children. The family moved to Timsgarry in 1857.
Walter was widowed in 1863 and in Stornoway, in 1864, he married Christina Munro from Crowlista.
The family later moved to Ardnamurchan. Walter and Christina had seven children.
