Rev Peter Chisholm

Rev Peter Chisholm

Peter (1884-1957) was a son of Angus Chisholm and Isabella Munro, 16 Gravir. He was residing at 314 Renfrew Street, Glasgow when he married Mary Ann Beaton of Ruchill Hospital (and Sheildaig, Applecross) at Porterfield Road, Renfrew in 1919. Peter was subsequently a Free Presbyterian minister.  In retirement he and Mary Ann lived at Glaic Mor House, Keose.

Peter may have spent time as a pupil teacher at Luachair, which is located at Kinresort on the border between Lewis and Harris. A person of the same name, born in 1884 in Lochs, was recorded as teaching there and sharing the school house with his sister Joan, according to the 1901 census.
