Malcolm Murdo (1923-2009) was a son of Malcolm Macleod and Margaret Mackenzie. The family lived with his maternal grandfather at 2 Shieldenish. His mother died in 1925 and the family moved to the paternal croft at 4 Kershader. In 1926 his father married Catherine Macleod, 6 Lemreway. The family later moved to 9 Garyvard.
In Lochs, in 1947, he married Alexina Macleod of 11 Habost. Malcolm and Alexina settled in Oban and they had a daughter.
