Annabella Macleod

Annabella Macleod, born (1877), daughter of Donald Macleod and Isabella Nicolson, 5 Kershader, served as a nursing sister on the Western Front in the 1st World War from a very early date through to the end of the hostilities. Sir Douglas Haig mentioned her in dispatches and she was awarded the British ServiceMedalsRoyal Red Cross in the New-Year Honours list for 1919.
