3652: John Campbell

Iain Phàdruig Ruairidh

John  (1898-1919) was a son of Patrick Campbell and Effie Mackay, 18b Gravir.

He served with the 2nd Batallion, Seaforth Highlanders, Service Number S22755, in France during the First World War. John died of influenza, aged 20 and is buried at La Louviere Town Cemetery. His name is commemorated on the Pairc War Memorial, the Lewis War Memorial, Stornoway and in  Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
