Alexander (1827-1888) was a son of John Macleod and Ann Macleod, 1 Garyvard.
In Lochs, in 1852, he married Henrietta Smith, 24 Cromore. Alexander and Henrietta settled at 1 Garyvard and they had two children.
He was widowed in 1858 and in Lochs, in 1868, he married Janet Macmillan, 12 Kershader. Alexander and Janet had three children.
Alexander was widowed again in 1875.
