37741: Isabella Macphail

Isabella, born c1829, was a daughter of Norman and Ann Macleod from South Bragar. She was living at Goathill in Stornoway at the time of her marriage (January 1855) to Donald Macdonald from 24 Tobson/Valasay. They had eight children in Valasay (their first child did not survive – unnamed female, b. 22 Nov 1855 Tobson d. 23 Nov 1855 Tobson, interred Little Bernera; born at midnight on 22 Nov; survived one hour) and when Hacklete was resettled in 1880 they moved to No 16.
