Anna Mhurchaidh

Ann (born 1853) was a daughter of Murdoch Campbell and Mary Grant, Durness. The family moved to Shepherd's Cottage, Eishken in 1857.

At Blythswood, in 1887, she was living at 74 Old Dumbarton Road, Glasgow when she married Rev John Macdonald, Free Church, Kinloch. The couple did not have any children.

As the Manse had not yet been completed, Mrs Macdonald led the fundraising efforts. She established the practice of making tweeds and along with other efforts, culminated in sufficient capital being available to build a manse.
