38425: Catherine Maclennan
Catherine (1843-1875) was the daughter of Donald Maclennan and Annabella Smith, 1 Doune Carloway. In 1853 when Doune Carloway was cleared, the family moved to 4 Valtos.
Catherine married Angus Mackay of Valtos and lived with him at 4 Valtos, in a second house, built at right angles to the main house. She died giving birth to her fourth child, a daughter called Catherine (known as Kate), in 1875.
