39328: Magaret Richmond

Margaret (possibly daughter of William and Catherine nee Macleod, Inaclete Stornoway) was the first wife of Edward Colby. We know they lived in Stornoway during the 1840s for her three children were born there.

She died sometime before 1851 and her husband and family moved to Bosta where they lived with Edward’s sister Hannah until his second marriage.

It was thought locally that Edward’s first wife was Mary Richards.
