4054: Donald Macarthur
Donald, born in 1889, was a son of Donald and Catherine nee Macaulay from 1 Kirkibost. During WW1, whilst serving as a sergeant with the 2nd Seaforths, he was killed in action in France, March 1918. He had been wounded four times previously. He was posthumously awarded the D.C.M for his conspicuous bravery in the field, also holds Mons Star, two of the British Service Medals
