Margaret Mackay

Margaret Mackay, a native of Farr, Sutherland, was the wife of Rev David Watson, Church of Scotland minister in Uig from 1845 until his death in 1856. They had four children: William 1843, David 1845 (both born in Edderton), Alexander 1851 (born in Edinburgh) and Janet 1855 (born in Uig.)

After Rev Watson's death, William became headmaster of the Parish School in Keose (1858-1860) and by 1861the family is living together in Cross, Ness. Alexander became a physician.
