Mary, born c1816, was a daughter of John and Mary nee Smith who lived on Vuia Mhor before it was cleared in the early 1840s. After her marriage to Donald Smith - also from Vuia - they lived in Ungeshader until 1853 when they emigrated to Quebec. They settled in Winslow with their eight children
