William (1859-1951) was a son of Lewis Mackinnon and Christina Mackay, 3 Caverstay. He was a bachelor.
He eventually took over the croft, when his younger brother Farquhar emigrated to Australia with his ten children, but William never married and the croft passed out of the family after his death.
