43808: John Macleod
John, son of Malcolm Macleod and Ann Macleod, 7 Balallan emigrated to Canada. He returned to Scotland where he worked in the dockyards at Rosyth and as a foreman for Gibb & Son. John died as a result of an accident at work. He was a prominent campaigner for crofters rights and was President of the Gaelic Society.
