43979: Alexander Nicolson
Alexander (1832-1911) was a son of Angus Nicolson and Isabella Mackenzie, 9 Old Eishken.
His mother died in 1835 and the family moved to 3 Old Steimreway. When Steimreway was cleared in 1857 the family moved to 9 Lemreway.
In Lochs, in 1861, he married Catherine Macdonald, 8 Balallan. Alexander and Catherine settled on 9 Lemreway and they had eight children.
Alexander was widowed in 1876 and in Lochs, in 1878, he married Isabella Macaulay, 7 Crossbost. The couple remained at 9 Lemreway and they had four children.
