44169: Catherine Maciver

Catherine, born in Tobson c1844, emigrated to Quebec with her parents John and Mary nee Macdonald. According to tradition she was married twice – one husband was a Mr Saultry and her other was Roderick Smith, Valtos.

Saultry must have been her first husband as she was a widow living with her parents at the time of the 1881 census and Roderick Smith’s first wife didn’t die until 1881.
