Kenneth Macleod

Kenneth Macleod

Kenneth, son of Robert Macleod and Mary Ann Nicolson, 10 Balallan served as a Signaller with the 5th Seaforth Highlanders during the First World War. He was wounded near Ypres on 31 July 1917 and was awarded the Mons Star. He was for a time the local tailor in Balallan before moving to Stornoway. He married Kenina Smith, Achmore and lived at 6 Murray Place, Stornoway. Kenneth later married Williamina Montgomery, or Young of 6 Murray Place, Stornoway.
