45567: Angus Smith

Angus, son of John Smith and Catherine Mackay, 16 Balallan went to Canada in April 1923 and worked as a bank clerk in Winnipeg. He moved to British Columbia where he worked in a pulp and paper mill until he and a partner set up in a lumbering business. Angus was drowned along with three other men when crossing Quatsino Sound from Port Alicia when it is thought the boat they were in collided with a floating object in the dark and capsized.
