Donald Macleod

Donald Macleod

Donald, son of John Macleod and Marion Mackay, 17 Balallan served with the Seaforth Highlanders during the Second World War and was wounded at Abbeville, France in 1940. He worked as a weaver in Balallan until 1965 and was then employed on the mainland on Hydro Electric and Forestry Commission schemes. Donald also worked for Alginate Industries in Keose for 10 years before retiring to 14 Tomair, Balallan.
