47972: John Macdonald
John (c1815-1902) was a son of Donald Macdonald and Christina Macarthur who, according to tradition, were cleared from Hacklete to 8 Doune Carloway.
He was married to Margaret Martin, Bernera and they lived at 8 Doune Carloway. In 1861 they were enumerated at 14 Valtos while two of their eight children, Kenneth and Donald, were living with their grandparents Kenneth and Marion at 3 Earshader.
