Kenneth (born 1863) was the younger of two sons of the same name of John Macdonald and Margaret Martin, 14 Valtos. He assumed the tenancy of the croft and settled there with his wife Mary Ann Maclean, 36 South Shawbost. They had three sons and four daughters.
