Rhoda was the daughter of Alexander Macleod originally of 23 Balallan and Chirsty Ann Maciver originally of 3 Laxay. She was born in Bearsden, Dumbartonshire on 13.06.1959 where the family was living and where she spent her childhood. The family moved to 34 Laxay in 1976. By profession Rhoda was a schoolteacher and working in North Uist when she married her husband in Kinloch Free Church on 10.08.1989. Their family home was in Tigharry North Uist. They had 2 children. Rhoda died on 2.09.2001.
