Donald Macdonald

Donald (1900-1959) was a son of Alexander Macdonald and Margaret Kennedy, 23 Cromore.

He served with the Royal Naval Reserve on the HMS Iolaire (base) and later HMS Whaler Finwhale. 

Donald returned home on the Iolaire at the end of the war and survived the disaster.

He emigrated to Canada and married Mary Ann Fontana. Donald and Mary Ann settled at Shell Lake, Saskatchewan.

Donald is buried in the veteran's Section of Woodlawn Cemetary, Saskatoon.
