48584: Angus Macleod
Angus Macleod (born 1907) was a son of Alexander Macleod and Ann Macaulay, 24 Cromore. The family later moved to Stornoway.
He was living at 4 Battery Park when he enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve, S/Ns AX13512, BX8432 and CX7479, on August 23, 1926. Angus was a fisherman on Stornoway registered fishing boats, including the Handy (SY2) and (SY555), the Girl Ivy, the Glenafton, and the Ellen and Irene, and the Rose, from 1926 until he was Mobilised on September 10, 1939.
He served in the Royal Navy throughout the Second World War. Based at HMS Europa, HMS Victory and aboard HMS Queen of Bermuda
His wife Alina was listed on his RNR record.
