49096: Mary Ann Matheson
Mary Ann (1902-1989) was a daughter of Donald Matheson and Ann Macleod, 22 Valtos and later 10 Reef. She married Angus Macleod, 10 Ardroil and came there as a bride. They had two sons and a daughter and also raised a nephew and niece, when their mother returned to Canada after the death of their father.
Mary Ann, her husband and family relocated to Cromwell Street, Stornoway before moving to Ardconnel Street, Inverness. Mary Ann returned to Stornoway and lived on Goathill Road. She was a lovely singer and recorded traditional songs for the BBC.
