Murdanie Thormoid Mhurchaidh
Murdanie (1895-1976) was a son of Norman Maciver and Mary Maclennan, 25 Valtos.
During the First World War he served in the Royal Naval Reserve Trawlers, and after the war, like his brother Donald, he emigrated to Canada. He left Glasgow on 6th July 1923 on the SS Marburn and settled at Winnipeg. Murdanie joined the police force.
At Winnipeg, in 1925, he married to Isabella Maciver formerly of 33 Keith Street, Stornoway. The couple settled in Winnipeg and both are buried in Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg.
