John A (1897-1978) was the son of Kenneth Maciver and Elizabeth Combs, Soval.
He became a gamekeeper at Barvas but moved to Soval in 1925. He married Mary Ann Macdonald, 4 Park Barvas and remarried to Joan Macleod, 8 Anderson Road.
