Alexander  (1883-1965) was a son of Kenneth Montgomery and Margaret Morrison, 2 Garyvard.

In Lochs, in 1915, he married Euphemia Macleod, 1a Garyvard. Alexander and Euphemia settled at Gate House, Garyvard and they had a daughter, Isabella.

Alexander served in the King's own Scottish Borderers in the First World War and his name is mentioned in  Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
