Donald (born 1850) was a son of Alexander Macleod and Ann Macleod, 4 Garyvard. His father died in 1860.
In Lochs, in 1877, he married Catherine Macleod, 24 Cromore. Donald and Catherine and settled at 4 Garyvard where they had seven of their ten children.
By 1891 the family had moved to 6 Lemreway and were Cottars on his widowed sister, Catherine's croft.
Donald was widowed in 1912 and in 1921 Donald and his daughter, Catherine are living with his son, Murdo at 12 Habost.
