Alexander (1826-1906) was a son of Kenneth Macleod and Isabella Macdonald, 6 Garyvard.
At Crossbost, in 1854, he married Marjorie Macleod, 1 Garyvard. Marjorie's father, John, was a soldier with a large croft. He split the croft and gave one half to his daughter which became 11 Garyvard. Alexander and Marjorie settled at 11 Garyvard and they had ten children.
Alexander was widowed in 1900.
