Murdo, born 1883, was a son of James and Mary Maciver, 16a Tobson. During WW1 he served in the 1st Royal Scots (Regulars); was wounded four times and holds the Mons Star. He was married to Catherine Bunton Crosby from Sunderland - the nurse who cared for him at that time.
