54059: Murdo Mackenzie
Murdo Mackenzie (1796-1872) was a son of Alexander Mackenzie. His mother was a Mackenzie and the family lived at Old Orinsay.
In Lochs, in 1824, he married Margaret Macleod, 16 Old Lemreway. Murdo and Margaret settled at 1 Old Orinsay and they had eight children.
In 1843 the family were removed to 25 Crossbost when the land was cleared to make way for Pairc Sheep Farm. Murdo was widowed in 1871.
