Donald Mackenzie (1832-1896) was a son of Murdo Mackenzie and Margaret Macleod, 1 Old Orinsay.
The family were removed to 25 Crossbost in 1843.
In Lochs, in 1861, he married Janet Mackenzie, 27 Crossbost. Donald and Janet settled at 30 Crossbost and they had four children.
Donald was widowed in 1875 and in the following year he married his second wife Catherine Macinnes, 5 Crossbost. Donald and Catherine had five children.
