Roderick Smith (1940 – 2011) was a son of William Smith and Alexina Macleod, 3 Keose Glebe. He graduated with an MA from Aberdeen University in 1964 and became a schoolteacher. His wife was from Mains of Tannacy and they had three children. He died in County Durham.
