55116: Marion Mackenzie

Marion, born c1836, was a daughter of John Mackenzie and Mary Maclennan, Croir. She was married in Croir in around 1875 to Finlay Macleod from Barvas (an occasion which caused her brother-in-law John Smith to write the song Fuilleagain). The couple lived in Croir until it was cleared in 1880; they had the following children:

  • Isabella b 26-12-1873 Croir (dbv)

According to tradition they relocated to Benside in Laxdale.
