Mary Johanna (1920-2003) was a daughter of John Martin and Helen Ann Macdonald, 48 Balallan. She married Flight Lieutenant George Reid from Belfast. They ran the Lochmaddy Hotel for many years before returning to Stornoway where they ran a confectioners on Church Street.
