Bess Chisholm (1878-1948) was a daughter of Kenneth Chisholm and Mary Carmichael, 10 Lemreway.
At Peterhead, in 1904, she married Murdo Ferguson, 3 Lemreway. Bess and Murdo settled at 3 Lemreway and they had six children.
Bess was widowed aged 41, when Murdo was lost in the Iolaire Disaster of 1st January 1919.
