Margaret Macaulay
Margaret, born c1861, was a daughter of Aulay and Marion nee Macaulay who relocated from Croir to 11 Hacklete in 1880. The family lived for a while in Linshader (her brother Murdo was tenant of the farm) and after the lease ran out they moved to Stornoway where they ran a boarding house.
Margaret and Murdo - both equally well liked for their sense of humour - returned to Bernera and resided in Heath House until the mid 1930s.
