57334: Annabella Mackinnon

Annabella, daughter of Kenneth Mackinnon and Augusta Maciver, 67 Balallan was a pupil teacher in Balallan School before serving for some years as headmistress at Airidhvruach School. She moved to Inverurie and then to Aberdeen where she became a certified teacher at the training college there. Annabella moved to London where she became a certified infant teacher before returning to Lewis where she taught in Back School for 27 years until her retirement in 1944.
