58933: Donald Nicolson
Donald Nicolson (1831-1899) was a son of Angus Nicolson and Isabella Mackenzie, 9 Old Eishken.
His mother died in 1835 and the family moved to 3 Old Steimreway. In 1857 the family were removed to 9 Lemreway.
In Lochs, in 1858, he married Mary Matheson, 31 Gravir. Donald and Mary were Cottars at 9 Lemreway and they had seven children. The family later settled at 26 Lemreway but were unable to pay the rent and they lost the croft. Donald moved to 15 Lemreway where his rent was 15 shillings a year.
Donald was widowed in 1873 and in Lochs, in 1876, he married Ann Mackenzie, 19 Crossbost.
