Donald (born 1888) was a son of John Campbell and Ann Carmichael, 31 Lemreway.

On March 2, 1911 he enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve Service Number A3449. His record indicates that he was 5 ft 4¾ in tall with light brown eyes and a fresh complexion Donald was a fisherman on Stornoway Registered Fishing Boats including the Mary. He was Mobilised on August 2, 1914 and served in the Royal Navy in the First World War. Based at HMS Pembroke and aboard HMS Edinburgh Castle. In November 1916 he was hospitalized and received a Disability Pension of 23/6d a week until he returned home in 1919. Donald is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.

He was a bachelor at 31 Lemreway.
