60545: Murdo Stewart

Murdo worked as a missionary in Arivruach. His first wife, who may have been named Mary, and a daughter died before the First World War. Two sons, Donald and James were killed during the War and a third son, Neil, died serving with the Merchant Navy during the Second World War. Murdo emigrated to New Zealand, c1919 where he remained for 6 years before returning to Scotland. He became the Church Officer in the Free Church, Stornoway in 1940.
