Donald (1897-1957) was a son of Murdoch Matheson and Ann Macaskill, 26 Gravir.
He served in the First World War in the Ross Mountain Battery and is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
In the 1930s Donald was headmaster at Kershader School and later at Sandwick School, Stornoway.
